Honestly, this Halloween sucked. We decided to dress Jake up as Superman, but he decided he wanted to be a monster. Seriously, I think he cried the entire weekend. He's going through a phase where he screams absolute bloody murder at bedtime. As soon as we even walk through his bedroom door his body goes rigid and he tries to squirm out of my arms. It's HORRIBLE every night and drives us nuts!!!
I think you'll find his costume...obviously last-minute.
Here is my awesome Jack Skellington pumpkin. Carved it alllll by myself, while watching Hocus Pocus with my mom and sister. Here's a sneak preview of our counter top! Britton actually installed it this weekend but we didn't take a picture of the final product yet.
And here is our CARPET! It is so nice.
We will be moving in to the duplex this coming weekend, the 13th. Finally!!!

hey, remember how the 13th is my birthday and the 14th is yours? so happy birthday to us if you move in this weekend!!
Love your countertops! Happy moving!
That is so exciting Lisa. I hope you put up some pictures soon. Way to be handy Britton and do everything yourself! I wish we could be in ours the whole month of December. We are supposed to close on Dec. 13th. I am debating if we will wait to set up our tree after we move in which probably wouldn't be til that weekend at the earliest, or just not do it at all, but that's no fun. Maybe they will finish and we will get everything together before then...doubt it. Anyway, happy moving this weekend and enjoy your new house!!! Yay, our HGTV dreams come true.
Yay! Good luck!!!
Lisa, I LOVE your honesty! Halloween always kind of sucks, doesn't it? Even when it's good, it's a royal pain for the mom. The best thing about H-ween is when it's over. And hang in there w/Jake. Ethan screamed, kicked, cried, and screamed some more for the first three and half years of his life. We've just started liking him this last year. (Gee, don't I sound like a mother you should be taking advice from??) It'll get better, I promise.
